Using the Rudeback® process, the fabric is dyed with vibrant sulfur dyes, and the more you use it, the more it will fade naturally like jeans and develop a rich texture.

"Antique-style Ramie Linen" is a plain weave linen fabric that is carefully woven in the Enshu region using a 25-count blend of ramie linen yarn spun in Japan, and then dyed using traditional methods by dye artisans in the textile town of Hamamatsu, bringing out the full flavor of the linen material and creating a thick, resilient, and soft texture.

Product characteristics/precautions

How to handle fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes

Fabrics dyed with sulfide dyes tend to fade and discolor more easily than regular fabrics.
Repeated washing can cause wrinkles, creases, and fading.
Although normal washing is possible, to reduce the degree of color fading, please wash in water using a neutral detergent such as detergent for delicate fabrics.
The light resistance of this product is very poor, and the color may fade or fade not only when washed, but also when exposed to direct sunlight or fluorescent lights, so be sure to store it out of light. If you are sensitive to color fading, please avoid using fabrics that contain sulfide dyes.

Processing characteristics

There may be streaks, selvedge wrinkles, uneven dyeing, knots, neps, and weaving wrinkles as shown in the image above.
This is not a defect, so please understand that it is a natural texture.

The design was created based on existing products. To test the color aging before and after washing, three identical shirts were created and tested before washing, after 10 washes, and after 30 washes. The shirts were washed almost every day for a period of about one and a half months.

・Use a fully automatic household washing machine (delicate wash cycle, mild detergent, 1 spin cycle)
- Dry in the sun on a balcony with a canopy (dry indoors on rainy days)

After 15 uses, I noticed that the color had faded slightly and the texture had become softer.
After 30 times, the collar, pockets, cuffs, yoke, and other areas around the seams and stitching had become worn and the color had faded, and the texture had become much plumper, softer, and more comfortable against the skin.

The length has shrunk by approximately 1cm, the sleeve length by approximately 0.5cm, and the shoulder width by approximately 1.5cm. The shoulder width is measured by taking the vertical stitching of the yoke.
