Washed Belgian Linen 25s

"Washed Belgian Linen 25s Natural Dyed" is a plain weave fabric made from high-quality 25 count Belgian flax linen yarn, carefully woven in the Enshu region. Dyeing technique that respects the rhythm of nature and minimizes stress on the material

Natural Dyeing Process

Natural dyeing is a method where raw fabric (kibata) is dyed directly, without stressing the fabric with bleaching or chemical treatments. The dye reacts with the fabric overnight. Considering the weather, humidity, and temperature, the material's inherent qualities are maximized through meticulous time and effort, resulting in delicate unevenness, bleeding, and variations in shade, creating a natural and rustic fabric.

Characteristics of processing

Characteristics of Processing

Irregularities such as bumps, scratches, streaks, selvage wrinkles, dye irregularities, slubs, lightning wrinkles, surface fluctuations, and other imperfections as shown in the image above are inherent to the fabric. These are not considered defects, but rather natural characteristics of the material and processing. Please note that the appearance of wrinkles and irregularities may also vary depending on the color shade.

Handling Natural Dyed Fabric

"Washed Belgian Linen 25s Natural Dyed" does not undergo mercerization (a chemical treatment to smooth the fabric surface and improve color development), so it is more prone to color fading than general fabrics. However, it is more stable compared to our other products like "Vintage," "Rue de Back," and "Damage Dyed and Washed."

While washing is possible, there is a risk of color transfer if it rubs against other items while wet, so please wash it separately. To minimize color fading, wash it in cold water with a neutral detergent, such as one for delicate clothes.

*Please note that "washed" in "Washed Belgian Linen 25s Natural Dyed" does not mean that the fabric has been pre-soaked or pre-washed with water.

Authentic Material Beauty Highlighted by High-Quality Yarn that Brings Out a Worn-in Texture

"Washed Belgian Linen 25s Natural Dyed" highlights the material's unique character through the delicate expressions of random unevenness and nuanced shades created by high-quality linen yarn. From the first wear, it feels soft and familiar against the skin, and its plump, moderately fluid texture creates a sophisticated, worn-in feel. This soft, thick linen fabric is suitable for coats, jackets, outerwear, dresses, skirts, and bottoms, usable across all seasons. We encourage you to create products that showcase its material qualities.
