Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count

Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count

"Twill Ramie Linen Wool 25 Count" is a thick ramie-linen blend fabric with a soft, woolly texture, created by blending wool with a ramie and linen blend yarn made using Japan's proud spinning technology.

Expressive Linen Wool Born from Japanese Spun Yarn and the Craftsmanship of Master Dyers

"Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count" is a herringbone woven fabric meticulously crafted in the Enshu region, using 25-count ramie linen blend yarn for the warp and 25-count ramie linen wool blend yarn for the weft, both spun with Japan's proud spinning technology.
The fabric is then dyed by master dyers in Hamamatsu, a city renowned for its textiles. They carefully dye the fabric without subjecting it to unnecessary chemical treatments, maximizing the natural qualities of the material. Through time and effort, this process results in an expressive, warm linen-wool fabric.

Warm and Rich Texture with Prominent Napping

"Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count" is dyed slowly and carefully without mercerization (chemical treatment before dyeing), which brings out the natural character of the material. This process retains the wool's texture, accentuating its delicate nap and creating a warm, rich expression.

A Plush, Soft, Thick Texture with Excellent Drape

"Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count" is a thick herringbone woven fabric that, after being carefully dyed over a long period by skilled dyers, is further washed and unraveled. This process creates an elastic drape. The combination of the herringbone weave's unevenness and the napping results in a plush, soft textured fabric.

Nine Sophisticated Color Variations with a Vintage Atmosphere

"Ramie Linen Wool Herringbone 25 Count" utilizes the different dyeing properties of linen and wool yarns. By intentionally applying dark colors, the melange-like napping blends with the color, creating a rustic texture that exudes an appealing vintage atmosphere. For black, both linen and wool yarns are dyed separately to achieve a solid finish, enhancing its formal appeal.

Fabric manufacturing scene

Natural Dyed

Natural dyeing is a method where fabrics are dyed directly from their loom state, without subjecting them to stress from bleaching or chemical treatments. The dyes react overnight, resulting in a gradual coloring process.
Considering factors like weather, humidity, and temperature, the dyeing process is carried out slowly and meticulously, maximizing the inherent qualities of the material. This creates subtle irregularities, bleeding, and delicate variations in shade, resulting in a fabric with a natural and rustic texture.

Despite being a thick 25-count fabric, it had both softness and crispness. The herringbone weave created an indescribably elegant silhouette that conformed to the body.
For the stole, the leftover fabric was a perfect square, so I finished the edges with fringe to add a stole.
