"Cotton Linen Heavy Poplin Damage Dyed" is a meticulously woven, high-density plain weave fabric from the Enshu region, using 100% cotton for the warp and a cotton-linen blend for the weft. It is thinner than "Cotton Linen Canvas Damage Dyed" and thicker than "Cotton Linen Light Poplin Win's Dyed," resulting in a well-textured, exquisite medium-weight cotton linen fabric.

"Cotton Linen Heavy Poplin Damage Dyed" combines the characteristics of cotton and linen by weaving linen fibers into cotton. By carefully preserving the natural slubs, neps, and kasuri (random flecks) found in natural fibers, it retains the rustic texture and crispness typical of linen, while also offering the warm, soft, and natural feel of cotton.

Unlike post-dyeing print processing, "Cotton Linen Heavy Poplin Damage Dyed" is a method where special damage is applied to the raw fabric, and dyeing is performed simultaneously. This process is carried out carefully, bolt by bolt, over a long period, without altering the inherent character of the fabric (greige), resulting in a unique finish.

Processing Characteristics

Due to the nature of the Damage Dye & Wash process, there may be wrinkles, color unevenness, selvage wrinkles, dye irregularities, dye pooling, slubs, etc., as shown in the image above. These are not defects, as this process utilizes the natural wrinkles and irregularities inherent in the material to achieve a damaged look. Please understand these as natural characteristics of the fabric.
