Made in Japan 100% Hemp Ramie Linen Blend Yarn, Produced with Advanced Japanese Spinning Technology
"Twill Antique-Style Ramie Linen 25 Count" uses a 100% hemp ramie linen blend yarn, made in Japan with Japan's proud advanced spinning technology.
Utilizing the characteristics of each hemp material—strong ramie with prominent slubs and supple linen—this ramie linen blend yarn combines strength with suppleness. This is a highly rare quality that can only be spun in Japan.

Returning to its rustic charm through repeated use
"Twill Antique-Style Ramie Linen 25 Count" undergoes Rudeback® Half processing, which involves using sulfur dyes that are prone to color fading, similar to indigo dyeing. The intention is for the fabric, initially finished with vibrant colors, to gradually return to a rustic, vintage look through repeated washing.
(*Rudeback® is a registered trademark of Daiko Co., Ltd. and a dyehouse.)

Domestically woven, domestically processed, with a rich, soft drape born from traditional processing techniques
"Twill Antique-Style Ramie Linen 25 Count" is a twill linen fabric carefully woven in the Enshu region using 25-count ramie linen blend yarn spun in Japan. It is then subjected to traditional dyeing and processing by skilled dyers in Hamamatsu, a city renowned for textiles. This process maximizes the natural flavor of the hemp material, resulting in a thick, soft texture with an excellent drape.

Like vintage linen, it becomes more familiar and personalized with use
"Twill Antique-Style Ramie Linen 25 Count" uses sulfur dyes that are prone to color fading, similar to indigo dyeing. This means that, like denim, it develops a more personalized feel as it fades with prolonged use. Over many years of wear, this thick, softly draped linen fabric will age beautifully, taking on the charm of a vintage linen.

All 15 Colors Evoke the Nostalgic, Worn-Out Feel of Vintage Linen
"Twill Antique-Style Ramie Linen 25 Count" has been created with a nostalgic, worn-out vintage linen aesthetic in mind. The colors are rich and subdued, and combined with the plump, softly draped texture, they bring out a shabby charm and create a relaxed atmosphere.

Crafted with care, one by one, through the skill of artisans.
Kijinomori's fabrics are created on the local Hamamatsu land, utilizing the skilled techniques and intuition of artisans who are knowledgeable about natural fibers, in terms of creating texture, achieving surface appearance, and dyeing techniques.

Rudeback® Half Processing
Rudeback® Half processing is a non-continuous manual process that uses sulfur dyes to achieve a vintage-like texture that feels familiar and worn-in, without applying excessive treatment to the greige fabric. The fabric is repeatedly dyed to achieve vibrant colors, then washed again for the final finish. Fabrics treated with sulfur dyes become softer with repeated washing, developing creases, scuffs, and fading, but largely retaining their character.

Handling of fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes
- Fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes are more prone to fading and discoloration than regular fabrics.
- While general washing is possible, to reduce the degree of fading, use a neutral detergent such as one for delicate clothes and wash with water.
- Lightfastness is very weak; not only during washing, but also direct sunlight and fluorescent lights can cause discoloration and fading. Always store in a dark place.
If you are sensitive to color fading, please avoid using fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes.

This fabric is left-hand twill.

Characteristics of Processing
There may be streaks, selvage wrinkles, dye irregularities, yarn knots, slubs, weaving creases, etc., as shown in the image above. These are not defects but rather natural characteristics of the fabric, so please understand this as its natural texture.
