Natural texture born from high-quality raw materials and skilled artisans.
"Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" is a fabric made from high-quality 40-count linen yarn from Belgian flax, carefully plain-woven in the Enshu region. Through a revolutionary dyeing technique applied by artisans in Hamamatsu, a city known for its textiles, it achieves a natural texture unlike any other product, overturning conventional fabric-making wisdom.

Dyeing technique that follows nature's rhythm and minimizes stress on living things
To achieve an unprecedented "natural and rustic flavor," the dyeing artisans realized that conventional continuous dyeing methods would not suffice. Defying traditional norms, they minimize stress on the fabric by avoiding unnecessary chemical treatments and instead invest immense time and effort. They maximize the inherent qualities of linen, bringing out delicate textures that follow nature's inclinations.

Subtle irregularities emerging from high-quality linen yarn
"Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" is made from carefully selected high-quality linen yarn. As the dyeing artisans slowly and patiently dye the fabric, the natural irregularities, including the slubs of the linen yarn, subtly emerge, enhancing its soft and plump texture.

Skin-friendly, rustic, and familiar softness
After carefully dyeing "Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s," the fabric is thoroughly washed and softened, resulting in a gentle texture that feels comfortable against the skin from the very first use.
The fabric is of a medium weight, neither too thick nor too thin, yet firm, featuring a soft and pleasant texture with a moderate crispness and a smooth, dry feel.

Enjoy the unique bleeding and color variations—no two are alike.
Available in 19 colors.
The irregularities, bleeding, and color variations that emerge from high-quality raw materials are inherent to the material itself, making it no exaggeration to say that no two pieces are exactly alike.
The "Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" is characterized by its ability to provide a somewhat ambiguous, rustic texture and feel that can be enjoyed in every moment.

Each piece is carefully crafted with the skills of artisans.
Kijinomori's fabrics are created by the skilled techniques and intuition of experienced artisans in Hamamatsu, who are deeply familiar with natural fibers, particularly in the areas of material texture, surface finish, and dyeing technology.

Natural Dyed Process
Natural dyeing is a direct dyeing method applied to raw fabric, without subjecting the fabric to stress from bleaching or chemical treatments. The dye reacts for a full day and night during the process.
Taking into account weather, humidity, and temperature, the artisans meticulously spend time and effort to maximize the inherent qualities of the material. This creates delicate surfaces with subtle irregularities, bleeding, and varying shades, resulting in a natural and rustic fabric.

Processing Characteristics
Irregularities, scratches, streaks, selvage wrinkles, dyeing unevenness, slubs, naps, lightning wrinkles, and surface fluctuations as shown in the image above may be present. These are not considered defects but rather natural characteristics of the material and processing.
Furthermore, the appearance of wrinkles and unevenness may not be uniform due to variations in color shades.
Handling Natural Dyed Fabric
"Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" is a product with a higher degree of color fading compared to general fabrics because it does not undergo mercerization (a chemical treatment to smooth the fabric surface, stabilize it, and improve color development).
While washing is possible, there is a risk of color transfer if it rubs against other items while wet, so always wash it separately.
To reduce the degree of color fading, use a neutral detergent, such as a delicate fabric detergent, for washing with water.
※Please note that "pre-washed" in "Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" does not mean that the fabric has been pre-soaked or pre-washed with water.

Enjoying the natural beauty of bleeding and shading as the seasons change
"Pre-washed Belgian Linen 40s" allows you to enjoy a natural, subtle, rustic, and tasteful texture from moment to moment.
With a firm feel that is neither too thick nor too thin, this fabric is suitable for all seasons. It can be used for a wide range of items, from jackets and dresses to skirts, pants, aprons, and more.
We hope you will pick it up and use its unique texture, where no two pieces are exactly alike, in your creative projects.
