This process brings out subtle irregularities, bleeding, and delicate variations in shade, resulting in a fabric with a natural and rustic texture.

Characteristics of Processing

Irregularities such as bumps, scratches, streaks, selvage wrinkles, dye unevenness, slubs, lightning wrinkles, and surface undulations, as shown in the image above, are all present. These are not considered defects but rather natural textures resulting from the characteristics of the material and processing.
Furthermore, the appearance of wrinkles and unevenness is not uniform due to variations in color density.

Handling of Natural Dyed Fabric

"Washed Belgian Linen #40" does not undergo mercerization (a chemical treatment to smooth the fabric surface and improve color development), resulting in a product with a higher degree of color fading than general fabrics.
While washing is possible, there is a risk of color transfer if it rubs against other items while wet, so always wash separately.
To reduce the degree of color fading, wash in cold water using a neutral detergent, such as one for delicate clothing.
