"Wide Belgium Linen No. 60 Damaged Dyed and Washed" uses fine 60-count yarn made from 100% high-quality Belgian linen. This fabric is meticulously woven into a wide plain weave on looms in the Enshu region. Then, skilled dyeing artisans in Hamamatsu, a textile town, apply traditional dyeing processes, resulting in a texture that highlights the inherent character of the material.

Damaged Dyed and Washed Process (ddw®)

"Wide Belgium Linen No. 60 Damaged Dyed and Washed" is produced by applying special damage to the raw fabric while simultaneously dyeing it, unlike printing an uneven dye later. This method takes a long time, carefully processing each bolt of fabric to maintain the unique characteristics of the raw material.

Characteristics of the processing

Due to the nature of the damaged dyed and washed process, there may be streaks, selvedge wrinkles, uneven dyeing, slubs, neps, and weaving wrinkles as shown in the image above. These are not defects but are part of the natural texture, which we ask for your understanding.
