Japanese ramie-linen blended yarn made with advanced Japanese spinning technology
"Antique-style Ramie Linen Herringbone 25 Count by Nunomori" uses 100% Japanese ramie-linen blended yarn, created with Japan's advanced spinning technology.
This ramie-linen blended yarn, which cannot be spun anywhere else in Japan, utilizes the characteristics of each linen material: the strong, stiff ramie and the supple linen, resulting in a yarn that is both strong and flexible.

Domestic weaving, domestic processing, and a textured weave created with traditional processing techniques
"Antique-style Ramie Linen Herringbone 25 Count by Nunomori" is a linen fabric meticulously woven in a herringbone pattern in the Enshu region. Through traditional dyeing processes by dyers in Hamamatsu, a city known for its textiles, the natural characteristics of the linen material are maximized. This results in a plump, thick texture with a rich, raised weave that resembles cedar leaves.

Like vintage linen, it adapts to your preference with every use.
"Antique-style Ramie Linen Herringbone 25 Count by Nunomori" undergoes Rudeback® Half processing, which uses sulfur dyes that are prone to fading, similar to indigo dye, to achieve vibrant colors. Through repeated washing, this linen fabric ages like jeans, developing a softer texture and a personalized fading over time.
(*Rudeback® is a registered trademark of Daiko Co., Ltd. and the dye factory.)

8 colors with a rustic, antique feel that exudes a classical atmosphere
The "Antique-style Ramie Linen Herringbone 25 Count by Nunomori" features a rich, deep texture, where the rustic, antique-like color and the herringbone weave complement each other. It creates a warm, classical atmosphere of well-worn material.

Craftsmen create each piece carefully with their skills.
Nunomori's fabrics are created in Hamamatsu, Japan, by skilled artisans with extensive knowledge of natural fibers. They meticulously work on the texture, surface appearance, and dyeing techniques of each fabric.

Rudeback® Half Processing
Rudeback® Half processing is a non-continuous, manual process that dyes fabrics (greige goods) with sulfur dyes repeatedly to achieve vibrant colors, then washes them to create a vintage feel, as if they have been well-used. Fabrics treated with sulfur dyes become softer with repeated washing and develop creasing, rubbing marks, and fading, yet the overall integrity is largely maintained.

Handling fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes
Fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes are more prone to color fading and sun fading than regular fabrics. While general washing is possible, to minimize fading, wash in cold water using a neutral detergent, such as one for delicate clothing. These fabrics are very sensitive to light; not only during washing, but direct sunlight and even fluorescent lights can cause fading and discoloration. Always store them in a place away from light. If you are sensitive to color fading, please avoid using fabrics dyed with sulfur dyes.

Characteristics of processing
There may be streaks, selvage wrinkles, dyeing irregularities, slubs, neps, and weaving creases as shown in the image above. These are not defects but rather part of the natural texture, which should be understood.

Herringbone weave that subtly enhances simple attire
The "Antique-style Ramie Linen Herringbone 25 Count by Nunomori" features an appealing raised weave resembling cedar leaves, creating a classical and sophisticated atmosphere distinct from plain weaves. With a soft thickness and excellent drape, it subtly enhances simple attire, whether for outerwear like jackets and coats, or bottoms like dresses, skirts, and pants. This fabric is perfect for creating timeless pieces that you can wear for years, enjoying the gradual aging process as they become uniquely yours.
