Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth
The warp threads are 100% cotton, and the weft threads are a cotton-linen blend made using Japan's renowned spinning technology, resulting in a densely woven plain fabric. By weaving the fabric densely and over time in Japan, the fabric has a firm texture and a smooth, slippery feel.
By mixing a small amount of linen with cotton, it combines the subtle crispness of linen with the softness of cotton, giving it the characteristics of both materials.
The starch and dirt on the woven fabric (gray cloth: kibata) is carefully washed away, kneaded, and then slowly dried to give it the rustic texture of natural fibers.
The fabric's softness and texture are highlighted, and the harmonious wrinkles give it a rustic feel.

1. The crisp feel of linen and the soft touch of cotton
"Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" is a plain woven fabric made from a blend of linen and cotton at a high density. By blending a small amount of linen into the cotton, it combines the subtle crispness of linen with the softness of cotton, giving it the characteristics of both materials. The high density weave makes it a strong, firm fabric.

2. Moderate tension and smoothness
The "Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" has a balanced number of warp and weft threads, giving it a smooth texture with just the right amount of tension. Furthermore, washing and kneading the fabric brings out its softness and the texture of the material, creating a harmonious, rustic feel with its wrinkles.

3. Made in Japan with domestically woven fabric and domestically processed specifications
The "Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" uses 100% cotton for the warp and a cotton-linen blend yarn for the weft, made using Japan's advanced spinning technology. By carefully weaving the fabric in Japan at a high density, the fabric has a firm texture and is smooth and slippery.
Furthermore, the glue and dirt on the woven fabric (gray cloth: kibata) is carefully washed away and then slowly dried to give it the rustic texture of natural fibers.

4. Sustainable: unbleached, undyed, and unmercerized
"Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" does not undergo the mercerization process (a strong alkaline treatment that stabilizes the quality of the fabric), which is commonly performed in fabric manufacturing, and so the dark streaks (residues of cotton or linen) are intentionally left to bring out the texture of the material.
The fabric is made with a focus on the texture and feel of the material, and no bleaching or dyeing is done, and the use of strong chemicals such as mercerization is avoided as much as possible.
The result is sustainable fabrics that are kind to both people and the environment.

5. Not too thick or too thin, not see-through and highly versatile
"Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" is a fabric that is neither too thick nor too thin, and has a tight weave that makes it less see-through, so it can be used for a wide range of purposes, from outerwear such as jackets and coats to bottoms such as pants and skirts, aprons, bags, and drawstring bags.
Please enjoy the natural texture and rustic feel of natural materials such as cotton and linen.

6. Ready to use as soon as you receive it
"Cotton Linen Light Weather Cloth" has a tight weave, so the grain is less likely to distort and it does not shrink significantly when washed, so it can be used immediately with just a simple straightening.
