"Cotton Linen Twill Rudeback Half" is a medium-weight cotton-linen fabric woven with 100% cotton warp and cotton-linen blend weft. It is meticulously woven into a high-density twill fabric in the Enshu region, resulting in a firm texture and beautiful drape.

"Cotton Linen Twill Rudeback Half" is created by weaving linen fibers into cotton, bringing out the best qualities of both materials. By deliberately retaining the slubs and neps (yarn lumps) characteristic of natural fibers, it expresses a natural texture and feel.

Kijinomori's fabrics are created through the skilled techniques and intuition of artisans in Hamamatsu, who are deeply knowledgeable about natural fibers, in processes such as creating texture, achieving desired surface appearance, and dyeing.

Rudeback^® Half Processing

Rudeback^® Half processing is Kijinomori's unique dyeing process that creates a vintage-like texture as if the fabric has been well-used and softened. The fabric (greige fabric) is dyed repeatedly with sulfur dyes in a non-continuous manual process without excessive stress, achieving vibrant colors. It is then washed thoroughly to finish. Fabrics treated with sulfur dyes have the characteristic of becoming softer with repeated washing, developing unique fading, scuffs, wrinkles, and color variations that make them conform to the skin.

Handling of sulfur-dyed fabrics

• While general washing is possible, to minimize color fading, use a neutral detergent for delicate items and wash with cold water.
• As the fabric is designed to fade, always wash it separately.

Characteristics of Processing

There may be streaks, selvedge wrinkles, uneven dyeing, slubs, neps, and weaving wrinkles as shown in the image above. These are not defects but rather part of the natural texture, so please understand.

Since the fabric is dyed from ecru, cotton and linen scraps (blackish-brown speckled dots) appear as horizontal streaks as shown in the image above. These are deliberately left on the fabric surface to create a natural texture, so please understand this as a characteristic of the processing.
